A married man asked his 24-year-old girlfriend to end her life. The shocking incident took place in Chennai where the accused man, who works in the Indian Army allegedly hid his marriage from the girl.
The accused reportedly lost his temper when the deceased came to know about his married life and asked her to hang herself to death.
The deceased girl, Rama (name changed) worked with a private firm and a resident of Perumbakkam, Chennai. While the man, Umesh (name changed) works in the Indian Army.
According to the timesnownews.com report, the man and the deceased girl became friends on a video chat app. On November 18, the man came to Chennai from Nagpur to meet the girl. When Rama learned that the man was already married and had two children, she decided to end her relationship with him.

However, Umesh didn’t want to end her relationship and threatened to commit suicide if she didn’t marry him. On December 2, the duo spoke to each other on a video call and Rama gave him a warning, the Times of India reported.
When Umesh denied ending the relationship, Rama threatened to end her life. When the 24-year-old woman tried to cut her veins, then Umesh allegedly asked her to hang herself to death so that she could die sooner, timesnownews.com report claimed.

Meanwhile, the police launched an investigation into the case and also recovered the conversation that had been recorded on her phone. The accused has been arrested with the help of call recording. According to a senior official, instead of saving a girl’s life, Umesh watched the extreme step silently. He has been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
