Punjab: Woman with three gunshot wounds in the head files case against nephew
A 42-year-old woman with three bullet injuries on her head and face drove at least seven kilometers to reach a police station in Punjab to file a complaint in the Muktsar district of Punjab.
According to reports, the woman suffering from bullet injuries moved police station to register a case against her brother and minor nephew in a land grab case. The victim's nephew shot at her and her mother over the land dispute in a fit of rage.
The duo survived with injuries, the police said on Friday. On arriving at the police station, the two were admitted to a local hospital where the doctors managed to remove the bullets from their bodies.
As per reports, the victim's brother has been trying to grab their land after the death of her father. The victim and her mother got 16 acres of land after the death of the father, but she alleged that her brother has been trying to grab the land and own the entire properties. She further alleged that her brother and nephew, who is a Class-X student have tried to kill her.
On the other hand, the police has launched a probe into the matter.
