Thane shocker: 19-year-old stabs relative to death over sale of fish
In an apalling development coming in from Dombivli, Thane district, a 19-year-old youth was taken into police custody for allegedly murdering a relative during an argument as for the sale of fish.
The accused teen, identified as Kalya also known as Hitesh Sanjay Nakhwal, got involved in a fight with his relative, identified as Bhanudas alias Mukund Dattu Chaudhary, aged 55, on Saturday.
"After the quarrel, Hitesh called his relative to a secluded location in Khambalpada in Dombivli town and attacked him on the neck with a sharp weapon," said Ajay Aafle, senior police inspector.
The police came to the crime spot after receiving the information and took the victim to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.The dead body was taken to a government hospital for an autopsy.
A case has been registered against the minor accused under Section 302 (murder)of the Indian Penal Code. He was also produced before the court on Sunday.
In another incident reported from Karnataka’s Bengaluru, 17-year-old boy was taken into police custody for allegedly killing his aunt after the latter forced him to elope with her. The incident occurred when the boy had reached the woman's house on Tuesday.
Reportedly, the 17-year-old had an illicit affair with his aunt. According to a report in the Times of India, police said when the woman asked him to elope with her, he opposed. After this, the woman attacked the boy with a scissor. He snatched the scissors from her hand and stabbed her to death. He had also burnt a bedsheet ahead of running away.
The horrifying episode became known when the woman's neighbours noticed fumes coming out of her house. They alerted the cops, who then arrived at the crime spot only to discover the woman's dead body lying in a pool of blood. She was stabbed around 15 times, police said.
In the meantime, the victim's husband said he had a fight with her after he learnt about her affair with his minor nephew.
“He sent his sons to his grandparents’ place as he did not want to fight in front of them. The probe revealed that the husband was present at his workplace when the murder took place. Then we found that the minor boy had come to meet the woman in the afternoon," an officer said.
According to police, the woman wanted to elope with the boy after her husband came to know about her illicit love affair with a minor.
A police source quoted the accused as saying, "She said her husband had discovered their affair and forced me to run away with her. I refused [to elope], following which she grew angry. She attacked me with scissors, and snatching it from her hand, I stabbed her."
"I set the bedsheet on fire and locked the house before fleeing," the accused said.
The minor was sent to a juvenile home after the incident became known.
