Hawaii beauty queen Susan Shaw sentenced to 20-year-jail on computer fraud
In one of the largest identity threft in 2011, former beauty queen Susan Shaw from Hawaii convicted and sentenced to 20 years in prison. This was a computer and credit card fraud case that was registered in 2011 and Shaw was on parole.
She had stolen hundreds of credit cards and stocked it in her rental home. She became Miss Hawaii International in 1992. She had fraudulently obtained credit reports, gift cards and other documents. The former beauty queen is suspected of stealing at least $160,000.
Family members of the beauty queen shared that they weren't able to figure it out as to how she got so much money and how she spent so much on designer clothes, handbags.
While Shaw's attorney argued that everything was a mistake and human error. Presently she is in jail and her next hearing would be in June.
