SSC CGL Exam Update 2020: Download your admit card for Tier 1 exam on this date; check important details

If you are waiting for your SSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination then the Staff Selection Commission will soon release the admit card on its zonal websites.

As per the official notification, SSC will conduct the Tier-I examination from March 2, 2020, to March 11, 2020. Candidates who will clear the preliminary examination of SSC CGL Tier I will be eligible to appear for the Tier-II and Tier-III CGL exam from June 22, 2020, to June 25th, 2020 via online mode.

To appear for the examination candidates will have to download their admit card that will be released soon.

As per the reports, the admit card for SSC CGL Tier-I Computer Based Test will release at least 15 days ahead of the examination. SSC will release the admit cards for all stages of examination on the websites of concerned Regional/ Sub-Regional Office of the Commission.

Meanwhile, no official updates about the admit cards for SSC CGL Tier I exam released at www.ssc.nic.in. So, candidates are advised to keep a close track on the official website of SSC.

SSC CGL 2019-20 Recruitment and Vacancies

SSC has not officially announced the exact number of vacancies for the SSC CGL 2019-20 recruitment exam for different posts. The tentative number of vacancies for the SSC CGL 2017 Recruitment Process was total 9372.

Earlier on February 4, SSC released a corrigendum for CGL 2019 examination on its official website.

Exam pattern:

To get selected for the SSC CGL, candidates will have to appear for the three stages of the examination.

  • Tier –I objective exam will be of 60 minutes duration in online mode.
  • Tier –II objective exam will consist of 4 papers, each paper will be of 60 minutes duration in online mode.
  • Tier – III descriptive exam will be of 60 minutes duration in pen and paper mode.
    There will be no sectional cut-off.

The exam comprises of four sections having 100 questions (25 questions in each section) which will account for a total of 200 marks (maximum 50 marks in each section). The duration of the Tier-I examination will be of 60 minutes.

Candidates should keep in mind that there is negative marking in SSC CGL 2019-20 Tier 1 Exam. For the wrong attempt, 0.5 marks will be deducted.
