Armed men loot passengers in Jammu-Duranto Express, 2 AC coaches robbed at the outskirts of Delhi
Today, at around 3:30 am robbers looted the Jammu-Duranto Express at the outskirts of Delhi at knife point in the AC coaches.
The incident took place when the train had reached Badli, and the robbers barged inside the two AC coaches while the train was approaching the main station at Delhi and waiting at the outskirts to get the signal.
The robbers have allegedly looted mobile phones, cash, gold chains among other valuables.
News agency ANI tweeted saying, “Passengers onboard B3 and B7 coaches of Jammu-Delhi Duranto Express looted by unidentified assailants on the outskirts of Delhi today,in early morning hours. Northern Railways CPRO says RPF has initial leads in the case and action will be taken against culprits.
The Railway got alert when a passenger inside the train complained on its portal, saying, “Suddenly some 7 to 10 unidentified miscreants entered coaches B3 and B7 of the train. They were carrying sharp edged knives with them. They put the knife near to the neck of passengers and asked them to handover whatever expensive items they are carrying with them.”
The passenger wrote that the incident occurred for around 15-20 minutes and then the robbers have got down from the train.
He wrote, “The attendant told us that there was no security personnel available in the train. We are not safe even in AC coaches and imagine the security in sleeper class and general coaches where passengers enter the train even without tickets.”
Now, the Railway Protection Force and the police personnel should be apprehended.
