'Over 250 Jaish terrorists killed IAF airstrike on Balakot camp,' Amit Shah's biggest claim
Days after Indian Air Force bombarded Jaish terror camp in Balakot, speculation on the casualties have been making rounds. Where media reports suggest over 300 Jaish terrorists were killed in an airstrike, Air Vice Mashal RGK Kapoor in Tri-forces press briefing said it is premature to speak on numbers of casualties. However, ruling Bhartiya Janata Party chief Amit Shah on Sunday in a rally in Gujarat said that “more than 250 terrorists” were killed in the airstrike in Balakot on February 26.
“After the Uri attack, the army did a surgical strike. After the Pulwama attack, people said there could not be a surgical strike due to the high level of alertness. But on the 13th day, the Narendra Modi government carried out an airstrike, and more than 250 terrorists were killed without suffering any losses,” Amit Shah said.
Speaking on IAF pilot’s return to India, Amit Shah said it was PM Modi’s power because of which he came back in 48 hours. “When (Wing Commander) Abhinandan Varthaman was caught, they (Opposition) started again. But the Narendra Modi government’s impact was such that for the first time in the world, a PoW was released in such a short time… Abhinandan was released within 48 hours.”
Amit Shah was addressing a rally in Surat where he also attacked Opposition and said that their questions on airstrike brought a ‘smile’ to Pakistan’s face. “Mamata Ji asks for proof, Rahul baba says it is being politicised, Akhilesh says it should be investigated. Feel ashamed, such statements bring a smile to Pakistan's face.”
