A woman who was allegedly approached by Raj Kundra’s close aid for a nude audition has given a statement to reporters claiming harassment over a video call.
The model and actor has called for strict probe against the businessman, who was taken into police custody for his alleged role in producing porn films.
The model alleged that Umesh Kamat, who according to the model is Raaj Kundra’s personal assistant, had called her for an acting role in a web series.
The woman alleged that Umesh Kamat took her audition over a video call during the coronavirus induced lockdown – with another man who had his face concealed. The model claims it could have been Raj Kundra himself.
The model alleged that Kamat told her to undress in the time of the audition, saying he would ‘make her successful’.
Shocked by what Kamat asked her to do, she declined the proposition.
"Now that Raj Kundra has been arrested, strict investigation must be conducted against him," she said, and made a plea to the courts and Mumbai Police for a strict investigation against the businessman, his family and aids.
Terming Raj Kundra as just a "pawn", she claimed there are many people involved in various such cases.
"Women are approached for acting roles in web series which would soon turn to bikini shoots, bold shoots and eventually nude shoots. Scared to be pushed out of Bollywood, most women fall prey to the scandal," she said. Further, she claimed that most woman fall prey to the scandal, and gets pushed into flesh trade.
The businessman Raj Kundra is allegedly enmeshed in the streaming of pornographic videos through an app "Hotshots", the state Police told a court on Tuesday, a day after arresting him. He was sent to police custody till Friday.
The Mumbai Police described Raj Kundra as "key conspirator" in the case and said it had ample proof against him.
