Team India player and Mumbai Indians all-rounder batsman Hardik Pandya said that he had left practising for batting. After the match when Hardik Pandya was asked about his batting he said, "I am not doing anything special it is same like what you do in some special day, I think differently. I am very positive, if I say truth then it is all about one hit shot. You hit a six and it changes the whole match."
The all-rounder batsman of Mumbai Indians did a fantastic performance in this last match and he made 35 runs on just 20 balls. Even in the bowling, Hardik took 2 wickets on 19 runs in just 4 overs. In this season of IPL, Hardik Pandya took 14 wickets till now and now the purple cap is also on Hardik Pandya's head.

Showing happiness towards the purple cap, Hardik Pandya said "This is good but I didn't try it. But this cap will stay with you till you take wickets. Obviously, if there is great bowling then I have to respect it. I can't do anything on it. My game is like that I stay very positive towards it."

Mumbai Indians set the target of 181 runs in front of Kolkata Knight Riders but the KKR team failed to perform and their innings got over on 168 runs. Mumbai Indians who were in the last of the points table needed this win mostly.
