Andre Russell has become a household name after his power hitting performance in the Indian Premier League this season. Russell’s innings full of sixes is the main reason behind Kolkata Knight Riders’ winning streak in IPL 2019.
All of India including MS Dhoni is in awe of the Caribbean superstar. In a video shared by Chennai Super Kings ahead of CSK versus KKR match, MS Dhoni can be heard saying, “Kaun banda itne chhakke maarta hai? (Who on earth hits so many sixes?)”

Chennai Super Kings will host Kolkata Knight Riders in M.A Chidambaram Stadium today at 8:00 pm. Chennai have not lost a single match in their home ground this year and Kolkata have too are holding that record. Chennai played only one game in Chepauk Stadium last year and that was against Kolkata Knight Riders. Russell hit a lot of sixes in the match but Kolkata lost the game.
As far as the points table is concerned, Kolkata Knight Riders are sitting at number one on the table, while Chennai Super Kings are at number two. They have played equal number of games and have equal points but Kolkata is above Chennai because of their net run rate.
Kolkata Knight Riders will be looking to maintain their top spot, while Chennai Super Kings will look to go on top of the table with a win against KKR. Kolkata Knight Riders will depend on Andre Russell again and will hope that his bat swings tonight.
