Caught on cam: Man jumps in front of train with 6-year-old son

An extremely shocking incident, caught on CCTV camera, from a railway station is widely being shared on social media. The video is considered to be from Vithalwadi railway station near Kalyan, where we can notice a man jumping right in front of an incoming train along with his child.

As maintained by reports, the man who ended his own life is being identified as Pramod Andhale, who has been working as a BEST driver in Mumbai. The father deliberately fell on train tracks and was confirmed to be spot dead while on the other hand the child made a narrow escape from death.

According to reports, Pramod Andhale is a native of Shantinagar area of Ulhasnagar in Thane district, who arrived at the Vitthalwadi station at around 6 in the evening with his 6-year-old son, named Swaraj and jumped in the front of Mumbai-bound Deccan Express. By good fortune, the child slipped away form his hand and fell to the side of the track, which made him survive the horror.

Soon after incident was seen by the Railway Police, they rushed to spot and saved the child. The team rescued Swaraj, while Pramod's body was sent to Rukminibai Hospital for further probe. Pramod Andhale had been living with his wife, son and daughter at Ulhasnagar.

Further investigation to know the reason behind the suicide act is underway.
