Shocker: 7 teenagers rape minor girl after asking her to play hide and seek game with them

In a shocking incident, seven teen-aged boys allegedly raped a minor girl after inviting her to play with them in a village in Tripura, police said on Sunday.

Police have arrested six of the accused who lives in West Tripura district. While the one accused is still at large.

The seven teenaged boys raped the eight-year-old girl after asking her to play hide and seek game with them in a village.

According to a report in news agency PTI, two of the accused, who was around 12 years of age, were hospitalized after they tested positive for coronavirus. While four of the accused were sent to a juvenile home.

According to the complaint lodged by the victim’s father, the accused boys called the girl to play with them and then raped her. The heinous incident took place on Friday. The victim girl of class 3 returned home and informed her parents about the incident.

The accused boys were known to the minor girl, were arrested after the complaint was lodged on Saturday.

The victim’s father lodged a complaint against seven boys.

“We have arrested six of them while one is absconding," Sub-divisional Police Officer of New Capital Complex, Priya Madhuri Majumder, said.
