Delhi High Court has served notice to Delhi Police, state and the centre government in the time of hearing of three petitions on Delhi violence. The high court put out notices to the people in charge on all three pleas, including the one seeking action against Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Asaduddin Owaisi.
The Delhi High Court has also issued a notice on the petition asking for probe into the identity of those who are behind the anti-CAA protests. The petition submitted by Ajay Gautam sought investigation under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act to figure out those responsible for the violence in the national capital.
A bench of Chief Justice DN Patel and Justice C Hari Shankar has served notices to the Delhi government and the Home Ministry on Ajay Gautam’s petition.
Another petition was submitted by Sanjiv Kumar who has solicited NIA probe against activist Harsh Mandar, RJ Sayema and Swara Bhaskar for ‘inflammatory speeches’ calling for demonstration in opposition to the government.
The third plea was moved by Lawyers Voice (member of BJP legal cell) seeking FIRs against Rahul, Priyanka, Sonia Gandhi, Waris Pathan, Amanatullah Khan, Manish Sisodia and Owaisi brothers for inflammatory speech and provocation against the government.
The Delhi High Court has served notices to the Centre, State government and Delhi Police on all three pleas and the next hearing on the matter will take place on 30th April.
