Do you know Ranbir Kapoor backed out of Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy just because of Ranveer Singh?

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh's next film Gully Boy's trailer has been out and the film is slated to release on 14th February. This time Ranveer Singh has totally got transformed to play the role of a rapper. In the film, we also see Alia Bhatt playing Ranveer's love interest and a Muslim girl. With their looks, both actors have proved that they are ready to play any kind of role on the silver screen.

Ranveer Singh will be seen in the role of a street boy rapper and once again he is ready to win all the hearts with his performance. Let us tell you that now everyone is appreciating Ranveer Singh but actually it was Ranbir Kapoor who was supposed to play the lead role in the film. Actually, Ranbir Kapoor himself shown the interest in playing this role and it happened way back 2 years ago.

 

Ranbir even met director Zoya Akhtar for the narration and casting but when he went to know Ranveer is already signed for the film then he immediately said no to the film because he doesn't want to replace Ranveer Singh in the film. But if it would have happened then before Brahmastra this would have been Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's first film.

However, during the trailer launch of Gully Boy, Ranveer Singh clearly said that this film is made for him only and if Zoya would have taken anybody else besides him that he would have really disappointed.
